From Bach to sounds invented for the Cave.
Why going into this Cave for a Concert?
Be transported back - just for an hour - into a much simpler and purer world (mobile phones don't work here) - forgetting all the stress of the outer world - sharing the unamplified sound of pure music - healing for our soul.
The Cathedral Chamber is famous for its perfect acoustics
- the world's purest -
and is also stunningly beautiful.
The famous Australian opera singer Dame Joan Sutherland described singing in the Cave as:
"The Cathedral Chamber has the best acoustics I have ever sang in."
Who else would know better?
Inside the Cave is total silence - no noise of cars and plains, no airconditioning hums, no door noises,
not even the sound of wind.
In difference to most concert halls,
the distance to the performer is only 3-12 meters.
It never rains in the Cave, if hot or cold outside,
inside the Cave it's always 15 Degrees
No weather forecast is necessary to plan visiting a Concert in the Cave.
(the access to the Cathedral Chamber includes some flights of stairs -
bring a light jumper)
